3rd Quarterly Report 2024

The 3rd quarter of 2024 has been highly productive for the C4 Center, marked by significant advancements across various areas. The ongoing drafting of bill proposals, organization of regional events with global representatives, and participation in key meetings have been some of the highlights.

Our officers have achieved notable appointments to several committees.

Key Appointments

  • Steering and Working Committees: CEO Pushpan Murugiah and Policy & Legal Research Officer Prishanth Linggaraj were appointed to the Steering and Working Committees on Holistic Consultation to Determine the Mechanism of Establishing the Malaysian Ombudsman, respectively.
  • Research Committees: Prishanth also joined the research committee to explore potential amendments to the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952 (JKPA). Head of Research and Policy Advocacy, Arief Hamizan, was appointed to the committee studying the feasibility of introducing a Charities Act and Charities Commission in Malaysia (JKAK).
  • Advisory Council: C4 Center Officer Wong SiPeng, who co-authored the report “Ending Waste Colonialism, Governing Plastic Pollution,” was invited to join the BFFP Asia Pacific Advisory Council (APAC) for a two-year term from 2024 to 2026.
