Financial Accountability Transparency & Integrity (FACTI) Report

C4 Center, via our Founding Director Cynthia Gabriel was among the panel at  the United Nations ESCAP High-Level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity (FACTI) for Achieving the 2030 Agenda and Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific: "Towards an Ecosystem of Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity". She addressed on the global anti corruption challenges of tax evasion, money laundering and corruption issues. The final report, which was published on 26 Feb 2021 includes recommendations on closing gaps in the international anti-corruption framework.

    The environmental impact assessment (EIA) for Lynas’s Permanent Disposal Facility (PDF) revealed that 202.35 hectares (ha) of Bukit Ketam will be developed as a Multi-Category Industrial Scheduled Waste Disposal Site (MCISW Disposal Site). This area will be carved out of the Bukit Kuantan Forest Reserve and Lynas’s PDF will take up 58.25ha or 29% of this land.
